The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. My very large party and I dined at Mari's Saturday night and had a wonderful time. The minute you step out of your car, you smell garlic - a good sign you are at an authentic Italian restaurant. As we were walking in, people were walking out, raving about their dinners and giving us tips on what we should order (vodka sauce anything and grilled salad among the most highly rated). It's a quaint little place, very homey; they have a nice little patio and play movies against the wall while the music plays in the background. Not a very big beer selection, but a large wine list. I had one of the app specials, the stuffed figs, which were outrageously good. One of the guys had the stomboli app, which was large enough to have as a entree. The caprese salad was wonderful - the tomatos firm and ripe, my entree was the short ribs manicotti, and for dessert we all had a slice of Juniors red velvet cake. We were all so full, but couldn't stop eating because it was so good. The chef/co-owner is from Brooklyn and knows his way around an Italian kitchen. And the staff was so nice and accommodating. Definitely a win for North Fulton!

This was a great choice for Italian on our way to the Gwinnett Center for a show. I had the grilgia salad and it was fantastic! The roasted tomatoes gave it a great flavor. I also had the padovana pasta and it was also very good with great sausage. My husband had the short rib cannelloni and it was so good I kept sneaking bites of it!

What a hidden gem in Johns Creek! Went on a Sunday evening, which wasn't too busy, and had a fantastic dinner. Customer service is top notch; they have a decent wine list as well. Service was excellent, food came out quickly and it was delicious. The meatballs and stuffed peppers are very tasty. Spoke with one of the owners and he said that the majority of the recipes are from his Grandmother from a while back. You can taste the difference in the food versus your ordinary Italian restaurant. We sat on the outside patio which was nice so the atmosphere is very comfortable. You can not go wrong here!! Give it a try and I won't steer you wrong. Definitely will return.

The wine I wanted the restaurant was out of - bad first start. Second choice was just OK. The bread was warm, but turn hard as a brick. I now have a rule, if my wine isn't available and the bread sucks, it will surely follow the rest of the meal(s) will go south also. One guest sent her entree salad back it was soaked in dressing. Appetizer Sampler wasn't too bad. Scampi over fettuccine pasta was tasteless. Other guest has Stromboli - looked fried and not baked as the menu states. Chicken picatta was over salted and other than the salt was tasteless. This was a Kodak moment, last time we'll eat there. When Dal Coure was owner, we ate there twice had great meals and loved the Frank Family Chardonnay - pricey but we love Frank Family Wines and their worth the money

As an Italian woman from NY I usually don't eat Italian out cause I make my own ,but tonight I went with a group and was extremely pleased! Food was excellent!!! Pricing and atmosphere great. Only turn off was waitress in tank top?? Looked like she came from gym. And bar wasn't well stocked, otherwise I will absolutely return, chef does an amazing job!!!

What a pleasant surprise! I had a surprise party here for my wife last night which included 20 guests. Working with Niki and Adam to plan it all out was a pleasure. Adam suggested a 4-course meal with wine pairings for each course. The food was delicious and the wine was great. The service was spot-on. Everyone in the party loved it and we all agreed we'd be back soon!

Disappointed a second time. The name has changed and as I was told, the prices came down and the amount of food portions with it. Two couples - 1 out of 4 really like their meal. The butterflied veal was very good. The seafood dishes were plain and very small, like lunch items in a nice restaurant. No bread on the table before dinner or during. The Lemoncello cake was superb. Wait staff nice. It is so difficult to find really good Italian restaurants around north Fulton. I was disappointed with this one again.

Dinner was delicious. From the calamari to the cannolis, everything was amazing! Loved the red sauce (gravy)... definitely tasted home made.. like it came right out of my grandmother's kitchen. Cappuccino was excellent as well. We were greeted when we walked in the door and our server was very friendly. Owner even came over to our table to make sure we were happy with everything, and we were! We will definitely be back here.

Very much a so-so experience, but hopefully it was a just a bad night. Our waiter seemed to be serving as host also. He was MIA for periods as we waited first for wine (20 min while they washed wine glasses b/c they ran out), then the appetizer, then dinner---all took much too long. I do think the waiter was overworked so I don't blame him for the mediocre service. That's a management issue. The biggest issue, however, was that we were seated beside (and I mean very close) to a party table that got increasingly louder as the evening (and alcohol) went along. The wait staff seemed to be pretty tied up with this party, at one point hauling an extra table and chairs right over our heads to add to the party table. It would have been nice to have offered us a different location in the restaurant. The concrete floors and very high, industrial ceiling amplified the noise. As for food---the mushroom appetizer was good, not great---too much starch in the stuffing as if trying to stretch. My salmon-risotto entree was very good; my husband's chicken parmesan was pretty typical/good. We were ready to get out of there so didn't have dessert. I would try again on an evening when the weather allows for outside dining. We went early on Saturday evening and it was still too hot on the patio.

Nonna's lasagna was overcooked and soft with no discernible flavor. If Chef Boyardee made lasagna in a can, this would be it. Caesar salad was average. Decor consisted of plates on the walls...we counted 29. Dried gourds and other beige vegetation hung from the rafters. We hoped it wouldn't float down into our food. There was a nice Sinatra tune playing when we sat down, but toward the end it sounded like a thriller movie was on in the back room. The waiters looked like middle school-age boys, maybe family members. The bread was tasteless with a dry crust, even though it had just come out of the oven. It was served alongside thin, seasoned toasts that were a lot better than the bread. Not coming back...just too many better options out there, sorry.

I was excited after reading all the positive reviews so I made a point to bring the family here. Coming from up north, we are always on the lookout for "authentic" Italian food. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. I had made a reservation but when we arrived we were told that a large party of 20 just showed up unexpectedly. We were seated right away but at a high top table which was very uncomfortable. If I was going out to a sports bar or grabbing some wings this would have been fine but I'd like to be comfortable while eating my dinner. Moving on to the food. We ordered the meat and cheese appetizer for $15. While the meats were tasty, the platter was a little small for $15. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken for my entree. Pasta was cooked well and al dente as it should be. However the dish on the whole was very bland. No seasoning at all. I had to ask for bread as our waitress forgot. I will say the design and ambiance was very nice but going forward if I want decent Italian, I'll stick with Casa Nouva in Alpharetta.

Tried this place for the first time. Pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Very authentic. Service unremarkable though. They could step up the hospitality among the wait staff. Our waiter was courteous but not that friendly. Overall a delicious meal and we will definitely be back.

I had dined when the restaurant was under the name Dal Cuore and always enjoyed it. Now coming in since the change of name and the remodel I love it even more. The new colors and getting rid of those hanging gourds really made a difference. The projector with movies is also really cool and they said they can hook up a computer so you could do a slide show for a private event. One of the owners even took a second to stop by my table. And I can't forget to mention how great the food was. If you are looking for New York Italian this place is the real deal. Overall great experience and I will be coming back.

Exceptional food is topped only slightly by outstanding service. The chef, Chris, usually has an exciting special. The fig and Gorgonzola wrapped in pancetta was a burst of complex flavors that delighted the taste buds. Spectacular dish - Chicken Sorrentina which is chicken topped with eggplant, a smooth cheese and Marsala sauce. The chef accommodates special requests for veggies instead of pasta! Desserts are made fresh and I recommend them all. The wine selections are interesting with new monthly wine specials showing up this summer. They also host a wine club! Be prepared for the owners Jon and Adam to stop by and say hello - super friendly, fun, and engaging. This is my weekly choice for an Italian dinner out. This place has it all... food, service, and atmosphere... Enjoy!

First time at this restaurant. Arrived at 7:45 and was quickly seated on Sat night. Server was friendly and shared that they were busier earlier that day than usual. I liked the ambiance, reminded me of a small European family restaurant. Very high ceilings. We ordered a nice bottle of Napa cab "Neal" that was excellent. Bread is homemade and great. Caesar salad was fine, nothing distinctive. My chicken Parm was excellent, surprised myself by eating the whole thing. My mom had a shrimp with pasta dish that she also thoroughly enjoyed. The only negative was that the food took awhile, but that was actually fine with me and added to the European theme. Server was attentive, polite and helpful. Will definitely be coming back. They are closing for a week for renovations, look forward to checking it out. Also look forward to checking out wine store next door.

Really was hoping this place would be great! Coming from up north and having some great places in little Italy (NYC) north end (Boston) and federal hill (Rhode Island) we knew it would be difficult to compete. Let's just put it this way didn't even get past a glass of wine and told the waiter to cancel the order. Reason: they had nothing for a kid to drink except soda, water, OJ and cranberry juice. Really? Who drinks OJ with pasta? No milk come one that should be a staple for any restaurant. So what is a parent to do but tell them to cancel the meal because our kid can eat but can't drink anything there. Sorry guys big fail especially when you offer a kids pasta dish...

Had a nice meal, reasonably priced and good wine list. Rigatoni in a vodka tomato sauce with the pasta cooked perfectly, just the right amount of vodka and a nice touch was Italian sausage in the dish. My wife had the seafood risotto with shrimp cooked just right and the scallops were OK, she did enjoy the meal overall. I ordered a side of meatballs and there were three large meatballs with good flavor and texture and covered in lots of their their house sauce which was very good. Overall good service with knowledgable waiters and good staff that kept our water carafe full. I will go back again,

/TL;DR Big Italian restaurant with a mama's kitchen taste. At the time of writing this, I can't think of another Italian restaurant in north Atlanta that I favor more. Wish it was closer. :-( /ATMOSPHERE The restaurant is nestled behind what is actually a very busy intersection near the corner of Jones Bridge and State Bridge. However, because it's set back, you don't hear the road noise. You really don't see much of the traffic either so it actually feels secluded and private. The interior dining offers a lot of seating area with a nice size bar. We took the al fresco option since it looked really inviting. It was the right choice. /FOOD The food is truly excellent. We started with meatball sliders, which comes as a pair of giant meatballs on dense bread with tomato sauce drizzled over. I would recommend this! For the main entrees, we split a couple of pasta dishes but couldn't finish either. They were pretty big. We had the rigatoni ala vodka and the short rib pappadelli. The ala vodka was fantastic. The sauce was cheesy and flavorful without being too salty or rich. The chunks of sausage paired well. The pappadelli was also amazing. The short rib just fell apart. The pasta was clearly homemade. The tomato ragu gave it a nice punch. The entrees were served with a side of bread -- very dense, buttery bread -- which was perfect to soak up the sauce. The whipped garlic butter also needs mentioning. /SERVICE Service was attentive and friendly. I don't think there was a moment where I wondered where our server was. This is a place I'll go back to the next time I have a craving for Italian. HOW TO READ MY REVIEWS: 1 Star - Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars - If I'm in the area, I'd pick something else. 3 Stars - I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars - I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars - I would go out of my way to dine here.

A really good place. I was taken there for my birthday and they generally handled the large party well. One friend, however, was under-served. He didn't get his salad and was waiting a little long for his main dish. The food is quite good. I had the veal & eggplant marsala (don't remember the name on the menu. I went back last night and had the Bolognese pasta which is absolutely awesome! They put together their own garlic butter which is also awesome. The room is a little loud but in a brief conversation with the owner, he talked about getting more curtains to help. Also, there's a projection TV that cast on a screen eight feet off the ground. showed Blazing Saddles which started to repeat before we left, LOL. I would've given this place 5 stars if it weren't for my friend's experience, but I will chalk that up to random error. YMMV, but hopefully you'll get good service. Sometimes the owners roam the room talking to customers.

We dined here on a Sunday evening. We wanted to try a different Italian place than usual. The starter cheese platter could have used one more cheese and one less meat, but was tasty. I think our entrees were fish, pasta, and a flatbread. Everyone enjoyed these. Service was good. The dining area is high-ceiling-ed and airy. There is a separate bar-area with a TV for sports-watching. The only thing which might cut down on frequent future visits is that it's a bit of a drive for us. But we would go back.

I came here with a group of six on a Saturday night around 6 PM and it wasn't super busy. However, it picked up around 7PM which was nice to see. The hot food came out hot and the food that didn't need to came out at an appropriate temperature. We all shared the calamari and bruschetta, and everyone either got a caesar or a mista salad. I thought the calamari was a bit small, the brushetta came with 5 crunchy pieces loaded with fresh tomatoes, onions, and sweet balsamic dressing, and the caesar was good, but a bit heavy on the dressing for my liking (nobody else complained though, so it's probably just me being weird). I ordered the a la vodka and loved it. As they say on their menu it is "Brooklyn made sausage, pancetta, shallots, in a rich tomato cream sauce served over rigatoni." The sauce was very creamy and flavorful, and most importantly it came out hot. I wasn't sure what to expect with the sausage, but it was ground sausage that was very mild. For dessert I split a lemoncello cake slice as well as getting a free slice of their delicious chocolate cake because the waitress overheard that it was my birthday (very sweet of her!). The lemoncello as well as the chocolate were very soft and moist. Regarding the service, the waitress was friendly and attentive, but it slowed down a bit as the meal went on. However, I credit it to the kitchen getting a large rush of orders as the restaurant got busier, so it made sense. Overall a good experience.

This place is super tucked away. We had no problem getting a parking spot and seating on a weekend evening. There's kind of a barn feel instead with lots of natural light, which is great until it gets in your eyes. Server was friendly but service was kind of slow. I really loved the bread and the meatballs. My main dish was the bolognese, and it was good but nothing to write home about. They had some cute cocktail names, but none of them sounded like anything I was dying to try. I'd like to come back and try another dish.

We've started ordering from Mari's via GrubHub and our experience has improved vastly. The food is really pretty good; the penne ala vodka and white pie are two new favorites. Grilled artichokes and meatball apps were also good, but would benefit from better presentation.

So glad we found this place. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Really neat little place and a great outside seating area. Attentive service that wasn't stuffy....personality is always good! My husband and I both had the Griglia salad and it was terrific, best part of the meal. My husband ordered the Padovana and I ordered the Sicilian Chicken. His order was not put in correctly so we weren't served at the same time, but the manager Michael brought out two glasses of wine on the house, which was a great gesture. I ordered the Sicilian Chicken and it was very good. It was listed under pasta but was served over potatoes. Great portion size, very good flavor. I would order it again, but will try a few other things first. Hubby liked the Padovana when it came, the portion was very big with a lot of sausage. He took part of it home and said it was better the next day. We will definitely be back and think this is a 5-star place in the making once we find our favorite entrees.

Waited over 40 min for dinner with a hungry child only to have our dinners arrive with one out of the three meals wrong. The server then debated with me as to what I ordered then offered to get something else. At that point I was in no mood to wait again and asked my family to eat. Love the new cheese and meat boards and the spinach & arugula salad w salmon or chicken. The petto di pollo and veal are amazing as is the limoncello cake. Finished off with a glass of Brazin (red zin). Mmmm!

Meh. Bread- so what Fra diavolo? Guests loved it. Limoncello cake- ordered more Salad? Sizable and chunky Pasta alla vodka sauce- fair Flatbread- kids loved it Portions- big Service- attentive, bit untrained. Didn't know ingredients. Asst waiter didn't know what crushed red pepper was. Orders delivered to different people at table. Drinks & deserts were a little slow. I think kitchen was problem, not waitress. Ambience- it's an echo chamber on the inside.

This was our first visit to this lovely looking Italian restaurant. I left two stars, and that's being generous. The food tasted good, but the service I experienced was horrible. Our waiter was serving three tables, including our's. The way in which my fiancé and I were treated was completely different than the other two tables. The waiter was being overly polite, friendly, and attentive to his other two tables, and he was suggestive selling menu items and cocktails. He smiled, joked, and laughed with everyone else except us. I'm not sure if he thought we were under dressed (even though your Yelp account states "casual") or he had a problem with a gay couple eating in his restaurant. Either way, I can think of more deserving restaurants to spend my $60 next time. From a district manager of an international restaurant chain to you: Make sure your a staff is trained to treat each customer the same. You had the chance to gain a regular customer tonight, and you blew it.

Our family has eaten here at least 4 times. I am surprised by some of the reviews about the food being better before the transition. I wanted to wait to review to see if it stayed consistent. The food is always delicious and the portions are a good size. We LOVE the bread even more than Pasta Vino's. Its the perfect blend of garlic and yumminess without all the grease. The warm bread perfect is with the herbed butter. My husband's favorites are the mista salad, meatballs, and Alla Vodka. As a creature of habit, he tends to order the same items every time. I like to try different foods. So far, I've loved the scallops appetizer special they had, meatballs, calamari, Chicken Parmesan, griglia salad, ravioli, mista salad, Alla vodka pasta, and another dish with eggplant that I can't remember the name of. Although we are not major wine connoisseurs, there is a Pinot Noir our last server recommended that we really enjoyed. So much so that we sought it out for home. We are not big dessert people but we got the tiramisu and it was AMAZING! It reminded us of the Tiramisu from a restaurant that we used to go to in Dunwoody-- Anthony's. We've tried to find another that compared to it for years. No place is absolutely perfect but Mari's is pretty close!

Love Love Love this place. The food is wonderful, the service was very good, friendly staff. Loved the outdoor seating. We had the Double Bone Chop and it was to die for. Stuffed with a lemony stuffing. I really loved it. Caesar Salad was really great as well. Very crispy and fresh not soggy like some I have had. The lemoncello cake was light and refreshing as well. I think you will be delighted with Dal Coure and make it one of your favorites.

My family and I were in the mood for something new and local last night. I have always wondered what was in this beautiful building and the prices looked reasonable so decided to give it a try. Service, was good. When we needed something, they attended to that need. Everyone was friendly enough. Food- Terrible! There are 2 types of food out there that are naturally packed with flavor, Italian and Mexican. My dish included Veal, layered with eggplant parm, Prosciutto, Fontina Cheese, and rich mushroom marsala sauce. You would think each bite would be divine. My dish had absolutely no flavor, I was totally stunned. My husband had a pizza, it also had no flavor. I still can't wrap my head around how they managed to take the flavor away from these two dishes. We were so unsatisfied last night, that we stopped by Taco Bell around the corner. Save your money folks!

Restaurant is no longer Dal Coure. The name has been changed to Mari's Cucina and Social House and I suspect they are leveraging Dal Coure's good Yelp status to cover for their inadequacies. Family tried to get into Pasta Vino tonight but there was a 45 min wait so we thought we would try Mari's. We got there, no wait and seated right away which was good. The bad is that after 15 minutes we had not seen a server, no water, no nothing so we just got up and left. Ironically, the hostess that seated us 15 minutes earlier said "have a great evening"... We informed her that we had not seen anyone since she seated us, not even her when she left to get our water. The look on her face was priceless. They are in a tough spot that has seen more restaurants than John's Creek has seen elections. Tonight they lost at least one customer but you know I am going to pass this on to all my friends. Bottom line, there is a reason there is a line out the door at Pasta Vino and immediate seating at Mari's. If you value your time, skip Mari's and take you business a half mile down the road where they know how to run a restaurant.

Mediocre at best. Nice building, nice store but food was not worth coming back for. While the portions are large the quality was not there. Sunday gravy ( tomato sauce) was very acidic, not worthy of taking home or finishing. Bread was lame....actually awful...they must use some sort of bread machine (round doughy loaf). Everything was bland at best. Service was barely adequate (almost like they were meandering around but there were only a few tables so why hurry.). Very little atmosphere. Decorated kind of like a farm house with dried herbs hanging on walls. Probably wont return, did not see any reason to.

After seeing so many neighborhood restaurants closed in the past couple of years, we've decided that we should really support the locals more often. So we checked the reviews and decided to come for the first time. It didn't disappointed us. The service was good, and the food were great, prices were reasonable. We didn't order any wine, but i can see the choice is many. We had mussel Bianca for the appetizer which was very fresh. For dinner, we had Sorrentina (chicken) and Trout Afumato, all were delicious. By the time we left, the place was packed. I am just glad that another great place in the neighborhood will for sure survive for years to come!!! Nice!!

Wonderful...:. The food, service, Italian country atmosphere. Adam has created a new menu with delicious new entrees and traditional Italian favorites. Their "specials" are special, which can make it difficult to choose what to order. What a dilemma!! They have their own garden where they grow many of the vegetables served, along with all their own herbs. Make sure you save room for dessert, especially if you are a chocolate lover. Attentive service, excellent wines to choose from. Only downfall is if the restaurant is packed, which it usually is, it can get a tad noisy.

The chicken was delicious, the grilled romaine was AH mazing and they even unexpectedly included this HUGE garlic bread round that was deliciously crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Next time I'm in Alpharetta I'm definitely ordering this again. I still can't believe how delicious it was even after being delivered. Great job!

Enjoyable atmosphere, great service, and good fresh food. We heard about this place from some friends and are glad we gave it a try. We are looking forward to going back and trying even more of their menu. One note on desserts, our waiter said the ring ding (chocolate cake with marshmallow covered in chocolate and served with vanilla gelato) was the most popular one, but after tasting that and the tiramisu (yummy!), we will definitely order the tiramisu next time.

This place is so over rated. Tremendous disappointment in both food and atmosphere. There are many better Italian restaurants in the Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Roswell area. Don't bother wasting your money on this place.

This is the kind of place I was ready to love. The restaurant is housed in a brand new building and the interior is lovely. Very warm and homey. The hostess was the sort of young lady who has no business in the service industry. She was so shy that she barely spoke to us and couldn't even look at us. Our waiter was very nice. The breads served at our table were delicious. But the food ... meh. My eggplant parm was barely warm and just bland ... not delicious. My husband's seafood risotto had good flavor but was very salty. And there was so much black pepper in it that he kept coughing throughout the meal. Disappointing all around.

Great food! Service was ok except the waiter kept touching me on the shoulder to get my attention which is a no-no. I had the Misto Salad which was great, and the Chicken Scarpariello which was outstanding. Also had a bite of the flatbreads which were average. Not a bad place for a visit now and then.

The bread was delicious. The Pollo Arosti was bland. The Rissotto Hanger Steak special was ok once salt was added and the sreak didn't add to the dish. We'll give it another try.

I have been here several times and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The menu is simple, fresh and authentic. I read many of the reviews and find it hard to believe that people have had bad experiences! The wine store next door also has great choices and good deals ;-) The atmosphere is good for groups as well as dates, can'a go wrong, after all it is Dal Cuore ;-)

The first visit was so so my wife sent back her salmon because it was smuthered in black pepper. My dish was very good so we decided to give it another try. This time my wife ordered the salmon special and requested no sauce on it. Again it was covered with pepper and not to her likeing. My dish was over cooked and not so good. I know the owner John has had several hits in the past but this chef's food isn't there.

For some reason, this review didn't post. It's from Jan 7th. We went to dinner with friends last night. Since we were all from the Northeast and have made our own "Sunday gravy" over the years, we weren't expecting too much. But we were excited since the reviews were good and their shop next store had some great olive oil, vinegar, and excellent mozzarella cheese. First of all, the service was excellent (Eddy was our waiter). The olive oil and cheese they brought out with the bread was the best I've ever had and they brought out more when we asked for it. We split the muscles and calamari. Both were excellent. For dinner we ordered the braised short ribs, the rissotto of the day, the rigatoni and sausage in vodka sauce, and the eggplant parmagiana. All meals were brought out together very hot (suprising since they cook everything to order). The main thing we noticed about each dish was how fresh it tasted. Each was seasoned to perfection. The homemade tagliatelle with braised short ribs was outstanding. The fish in the rissoto was delicious, the eggplant prmagiana was some of the best I've tasted, the rigatoni was the perfect al dente, and the vodka sauce was wonderful. The staff was friendly and the owner John came over a couple of times to see how we were doing. Everything about Dal Cuore made it an unforgettable experience. Lastly, for the quantity and quality of the food, you cannot beat the price and old world Italian atmosphere at Dal Cuore. This will be a regular place for us. I intend to bring all of my friends here.

We went on a quiet night and it was fine, very good special with grouper and risotto and grilled artichokes. My husband liked the mussels and flatbread appetizers. The website advertises 1/2 price appetizers before 7 on weekdays but the waiter seemed a little surprised when I mentioned it. He might have been a substitute or something, he kept apologizing for things that he forgot. We are big fans of DiPaolo on Holcomb Bridge for many, many years--always great, sophisticated , fresh, creative. Dal Cuore doesn't quite measure up as yet.

Been back several times. The food continues to impress, outside of a couple of disappointing salads. Be sure to check out the vinegar selection at the store. The selection is insane and if you taste them without knowing you would never guess they are vinegar. The wine club is really one of the best deals going.

This place has really matured, and it shows by the wonderful food they have served. We visited last week, and the chef did an amazing meal with the new sauce....simply delightful. The wait staff has always been great, and we are making this one of our regulars going forward. As they say, buon appetito...!

We took our 23 month old tonight and had a great experience. Service was better than many of the Buckhead restaurants we would go pre-kid, very prompt. Caesar salad was nice with anchovies optional (a must for me) and the vodka sauce reminded of my fav Italian in Chicago. Would have liked a little more sausage with the pasta, which is why I'm not giving 5 stars. We'll def be back to try the patio when it's not raining. Oh, and my son devoured the bread and lasagna.

I can't say enough good things about this awesome restaurant. Growing up Italian, the food here tastes as close as I've come to my grandmother's cooking! The service is phenomenal, the wine list extensive (be sure to talk to the owner, John, about his Gorilla Wine Club) and the pasta is made fresh, on the premises. They even have a store located beside the restaurant where you can purchase some choice prepared selections to take home. A must try!

Love this place! The food is fresh and always tasty. I've tried some of the seafood specials as well as the salads and pastas from the menu. Everything I've had is great. Try the meatballs. The service is great! I hope they're around for a long time!

Dal Cuore is a beautiful dining experience. Though I've never been to Italy, I felt as though as I was in a rustic Italian farmhouse eating a relaxed, several course meal. The high, beamed ceilings and natural twilight coming in the high windows are lovely. The service was attentive, declining only ever so slightly when our waiter was called to assist with a nearby table of 20. I felt the food I ordered was slightly uneven, and maybe that's my fault for not ordering more adventurously. I had the soup special, an eggplant and proscuitto puree that looked a little risky (kind of a green-gray color!) but was piping hot and quite tasty. The homemade bread and olive oil/fresh parmesan were wonderful. A caesar salad could have used more dressing, but what dressing was there was light and not overpowering and the greens were fresh. My entree was the spaghetti bolognese. It was the low point of the meal, with the sauce being much more bland than my dining companion's fresh, snappy tomato sauce that topped a side of pasta that came with his entree (chicken parmigiana). Maybe adding meatballs to my spaghetti would have pepped it up. My tiramisu was good, and my companion's cannoli were just like he remembered growing up in New York. I enjoyed the lovely glass of chardonnay I ordered throughout the meal. My only other complaint was that the place was quite warm, with not much air circulating, though it was a relatively cool May evening. My companion is cold natured and often has to wear a jacket, but we both were uncomfortable. I will be back to try other dishes, as all in all, I enjoyed myself, the ambience, and the food. It's a wonderful addition to the enighborhood.
